WEST is pleased to announce the award of an Indefinite Delivery Type Contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Modeling, Mapping and Consequences (MMC) Production Center, for professional hydraulic and hydrologic (H&H) engineering services. The contract has a maximum capacity of $5 million over five years and includes a range of professional H&H modeling and other services at various nationwide locations.
To minimize human and economic losses from future urban floods in the U.S., a multi-organizational research team led by Dr. Lilit Yeghiazarian at University of Cincinnati, is developing an Urban Flooding Open Knowledge Network. Recently awarded $5 million by the National Science Foundation, this network is designed to empower decision makers and the general public to anticipate, plan for, avoid, and respond to urban flooding by making digestible information available at critical times. Dr. David Curtis, WEST Senior Vice President, serves on the advisory board of this multidisciplinary effort.
