Environmental Engineering
WEST personnel are nationally recognized for their capabilities in environmental engineering, including water quality analysis of rivers and estuaries, transport and fate of pollutants, regulatory permits, habitat restoration, and environmental impact assessments. WEST personnel are experienced in the application of a wide range of 1- and 2-D sediment transport models. We have applied these skills to a wide range of issues, including quantifying watershed sediment yield, planning for watershed development, analyzing channel stability, fish passage design, streambank erosion control, evaluation of reservoir sedimentation, defining dredging requirements for navigation, characterizing environmental impacts to water quality, and habitat restoration.
