The Floodplain Management Association (FMA) is the premier organization for floodplain management professionals interested in reducing flood risk and creating sustainable floodplains. FMA hosts one major conference annually. The conference provides members an opportunity to present and discuss technical papers on various aspects of floodplain management as well as attend presentations by state and federal officials concerning their programs. The conference also provides an opportunity for members to exchange information with their counterparts, learn about new products and services from vendor displays, and network with other floodplain management professionals.
