NRCS Awards WEST $20M Contract for H&H Engineering Services
WEST is pleased to announce that it was awarded a 5-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) worth up to $20 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for professional architect and engineering (A&E) services in Region 10 (California, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, and Federated States of Micronesia). WEST’s team was selected for our demonstrated success in addressing complex engineering services via multi-disciplinary teams.
Although this Services Contract is inclusive of all services provided by USDA-NRCS, the primary services to be performed under this contract include dam assessments, watershed rehabilitation planning, watershed planning, and engineering. Additional services may include preliminary investigation findings report, watershed plan review, engineering design review, technical document development, construction management-quality assurance service, and miscellaneous professional A&E and related services.
In discussing the award, Brian Wahlin, PhD, WEST Vice President and Contract Manager for this SATOC, shared:
The NRCS mission is to “deliver conservation solutions so agricultural producers can protect natural resources and feed a growing world.” This mission aligns with WEST’s vision in providing our customers with services that contribute to sustainable and climate-resilient projects. So much so that WEST has established a demonstration site in southern Arizona to test the efficacy of land management techniques. WEST is pleased to work with the NRCS on overlapping missions.
