The 9th Sustainable Stormwater Symposium, sponsored by The Oregon Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers Environment and Water Resources Group (ASCE-EWRG), provides presentations by regional experts in all aspects of stormwater management. Day one of this This two-day event is kicked-off by a nationally recognized keynote speaker, and continues in the morning with invited speakers and more informational sessions. Day two begins with a nationally recognized keynote speaker, followed by invited speakers and more informational sessions in between. After day two presentations, locals can strap on their bike helmets and spend the afternoon touring Portland’s latest innovative best management practices (BMPs). The Symposium concludes with a happy hour event at the end of the bike tour and enjoying some local micro brews (or non-alcoholic beverages). It’s very Portland! This Symposium is an incredible value, and a truly unique event.
The EWRG Sustainable Stormwater Symposium has been providing educational and networking opportunities to local stormwater professionals since 2009. The purpose of the Symposium is to provide stormwater professionals an elevated understanding of current sustainable stormwater planning, design, and implementation approaches. Attendees will be immersed in Portland’s sustainable culture, even through our virtual platform, before attending the bike tour which will take you by Portland’s nationally recognized “green” infrastructure.
Topics will cover stormwater science, engineering, policy, and outreach, including:
