The Oregon Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers Environment and Water Resources Group (ASCE-EWRG) is proud to present the 8th Sustainable Stormwater Symposium. This year the event will be held virtually with an in-person bike tour and happy hour in North Portland, Oregon.
The purpose of the Symposium is to provide the stormwater community an opportunity to share and learn about innovative sustainable stormwater planning, design, and implementation approaches.
The EWRG Sustainable Stormwater Symposium has been providing educational and networking opportunities to local stormwater professionals since 2009. Attendees will be immersed in Portland’s sustainable culture, even through our virtual platform, before attending the bike tour which will take you by Portland’s nationally recognized “green” infrastructure. This 3-day event provides half-days of presentations by regional experts in all aspects of stormwater management. Days one and two are kicked-off by a nationally recognized keynote speaker, and continue in the morning with invited speakers and more informational sessions. Day three begins and ends with a nationally recognized keynote speaker, with invited speakers and more informational sessions in between. After day three presentations, locals can strap on their bike helmets and spend the afternoon touring Portland’s latest innovative BMPs. The Symposium concludes with a happy hour event at the end of the bike tour and enjoying some local micro brews (or non-alcoholic beverages). It’s very Portland! This Symposium is an incredible value, and a truly unique event. We look forward to seeing you in September!
