Land Management
Nurturing and facilitating the earth’s own natural capacity to manage and rehabilitate land resources is at the heart of WEST’s land management service area. Our approach seeks to solve some of the most difficult climate and earth resource challenges facing landowners today. Conventional agricultural and livestock management practices bear great responsibility for degrading soil quality and drastically limiting its capacity to absorb carbon and to filter and absorb water. WEST understands that when managed properly through planned grazing, livestock become a critical land management asset for reversing desertification. As the growing body of research in holistic land management shows, this and related interventions restore soil organic matter, substantially increasing the land’s ability to absorb and retain water, and ultimately reducing flooding, soil loss, and mitigating drought. Contact WEST to learn how holistic land management improves earth resources, boosts productivity, and increases profitability.
